The primary activity of NDF is to create awareness and vision to strengthen electoral and democratic process based on research and documentation of innovative approaches and best practices on ways and means for increasing voters registration, turn out and participation in the electoral and democratic process.

As the only recognized national NGO with legal mandate, it is therefore our duty to:

• Monitor future elections as an impartial and independent observer.
• Monitor electoral reforms by ECP andother institutions involved.
• Monitor funds of political parties and their election campaigns.
• Monitor code of conduct.
• Establish channels for civic advocacy and help increase citizen participation.
• Ensuring responsive government institutions and accessible services.
• Strengthen legislative bodies that represent citizens.
• Equip future democratic leaders with the tools needed to address the most pressing concerns.
• Strengthen electoral processes via ensuring transparent, open and competitive elections that all voters can participate in, free from intimidation.
